Position: Recruitment Coordinator

Qualification: Third level qualification; Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant qualification

Location: Flexible; some travel required to M1 Corridor, Greenore, Co. Louth

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover, Full Time.


XOCEAN is an ocean data company – we collect data for clients ranging from mapping the seabed to monitoring the environment. However, we do this differently, instead of using conventional crewed survey ships, we have developed a marine robotic system known as an Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV).


Support the delivery of an efficient and professional Human Resources function, working predominantly in recruitment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of end-to-end recruitment campaign management of designated roles including designing an effective timeline for each campaign; meeting with hiring managers; agreement of selection techniques etc.
  • Lead all recruitment administration. This includes but is not limited to diary / calendar management, logistics (meetings, visits and interviews); designing of role descriptions; implementing approval process etc.
  • Completing all employment checks and leading the induction and onboarding process for new employees joining XOCEAN; collating onboarding administration material.
  • Build all new roles on our social platforms to make our jobs and projects visible to those we want to attract and make best and most effective use of our recruitment accounts with LinkedIn, company website and other selected mediums.
  • Organising and facilitating internal and external recruitment events; Internships; relationships with colleges, universities etc
  • Employee Administration Duties including management of timesheets, annual leave and payroll software updates.
  • This role may also involve supporting the wider HR function such as the coordination of training; performance management; employee relations; and reward / compensation etc.

Requirements: Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience

  • Third level qualification in related discipline such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant qualification.
  • Experience of owning and managing the recruitment process and experience or exposure to the HR duties outlined above.
  • Exceptional IT skills, including Excel and Word and experience of social media platforms, e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.
  • Strong administration experience and able to organise your work and time effectively.
  • Experience of liaising with colleagues, internally and externally.
  • Strong knowledge of related recruitment and employment legislation.

Desirable Experience

  • A degree, or equivalent level qualification, in Human Resources, Business Administration or other relevant area.
  • CIPD qualified or enrolled or willing to enrol to attain CIPD qualification.
  • Understanding of operating within the marine industry.
