Position: Project Engineers

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Location: UK or Ireland working remotely


XOCEAN is an ocean data company – we collect data for clients ranging from mapping the seabed to monitoring the environment. However, we do this differently, instead of using conventional crewed survey ships, we have developed a marine robotic system known as an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV).


Support operations in all aspects of project survey execution from pre contract award through to submission of final deliverables.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities in supporting the project assigned Operations Manager. Day to day activities to include but not limited to:

  • Liaising with internal and external project stakeholders on all aspects of project planning and execution.
  • Developing project plans and budgets.
  • Resource planning.
  • Supporting the daily activities of the project (including acting as project lead on occasion).
  • Maintaining project records and paperwork.
  • Sourcing external contractors as required by the project.
  • Ensuring adherence to XOCEAN’s health and safety standards.
  • Project Logistics and Coordination.

Requirements: Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience

The successful candidate will have a proven record of managing and improving operations systems with strong client relationship and people management skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience within a project-based work environment
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic, positive, and proactive nature with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentational, problem solving and team working skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills across all applications.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience working within the Marine sector.
