'THS UK 25' - Join us in celebrating our 25th anniversary

To mark the 25th anniversary of The Hydrographic Society UK (formerly the UK Branch of The Hydrographic Society) a celebratory evening has been arranged aboard HQS Wellington, moored on the Thames by the Embankment (opposite Temple tube station), on Friday 25th June 2010.
Timed to coincide with World Hydrography Day (21st June), THS UK 25 will offer:
- Entertaining presentations by two eminent speakers renowned for their knowledgable, engaging and witty style: Ola Oskarsson, Managing Director of Marine Matteknik and Dr Mark Horton, Reader in Archaeology at the University of Bristol and Expert Presenter of the BBC's Coast.

A Drinks Reception in the ship's Model Room which boasts a priceless collection of antique model ships

A Hot Fork Buffet including a choice of main and side dishes, dessert and coffee

An opportunity to explore HQS Wellington, the last surviving member of the Grimsby Class of sloops which served the nation with distinction in World War Two

A cash bar

The chance to meet up with colleagues and friends to salute the hydrographic profession
